Snowy conditions and frigid temperatures will soon be upon us! It is important for all to know and follow the weather emergency procedures at Mesabi Range College.

In the case of severe weather:

1. The college will broadcast class cancellations or possible school closing information on the following television and radio stations:

TV: Range 11, KDLH and KBJR, WDIO/WIRT -- WDIO Website: http://www.wdio.com/

Radio: All local radio stations, including FM - 93.9, 96.1, 97.7, 99.9, 106.3 AM - KDAL and WNMT 650

2. We will also post class cancellations or school closing information on the college website at http://www.mesabirange.edu

We will make every effort to make this information available by 6:15 AM for day classes and 4:00 PM for evening classes.

3. We will not cancel classes or close the college because of cold weather (unless ordered to do so by the Governor of Minnesota).

4. In Class Cancellations circumstances, NO classes are held, BUT offices and the college will remain open. All bargaining units, with the exception of MSCF, are required report to work.

5. In College Closure and/or Delayed Opening circumstances, only essential employees are required to report to work. Essential employees have been identified and notified of this designation.
