Know yourself

Plan ahead
- consider what time accomodations you will have to make to achieve the
success you want
- consider the courses you are taking and if you prepared for the challenge
- use priority registration to give you more planning time
Develop and use effective strategies for time management and study habits
- attend your classes
- keep a calendar for all of your test dates
- look over your notes from previous classes to prepare and familiarize
yourself with the flow of the class
- develop and use daily study habits (e.g. study in short blocks of one
hour instead of cramming)
- meet with your instructor to ask questions and meet with tutors
- set aside a part of your day to relax and do what you want
Improve your listening skills
- go to lectures prepared to learn and listen
- take an active approach to listening
