Withdrawal

Fall and Spring Semester:

Withdrawals Process: Students may withdraw from a course(s) after the 5th class day of the semester through the 60th day of the semester. Grades of withdrawal (“W”) will be recorded on the student’s transcript. Students must initiate course withdrawals by seeing an advisor. Withdrawals which are not officially processed through the Records Office will be recorded on students' permanent records with a grade of “F.” No refunds will be issued for partial withdrawals. Refunds for total withdrawal are issued in accordance with the College's "Refunds Policy."

Should a student do an “unofficial withdrawal,” which is to stop attending classes without completing the formal withdrawal process, the Financial Aid Office is mandated to calculate a refund to the Federal Government of 50% of all federal funds received (grants and loans). The College will then bill the student for the amount of the refund that has been returned to the specific federal program or programs.

Summer Session:

Withdrawals Process for Summer Session Courses: Students may withdraw from a course(s) beginning the 4 th class day. They may do so through the 6 th day before the last day of the summer session, first or second half.
