Note: General Education credits may be redistributed in either semester according to availability and scheduling compliance. Minnesota Transfer Credits may be substituted for General Education Credits on a one for one basis.

Advanced Level Welder Diploma (AWS Certification Optional)

64 Credits              Welder Certifications offered to students at no extra cost

Requisite: Entry Level Welder Diploma or Equivalent

Note: AWS welding certifications are offered free of charge to students enrolled full-time in Entry Level Welding and/or Advanced Level Welding.

Note: General Education credits may be redistributed in either semester according to availability and scheduling compliance. Minnesota Transfer Credits may be substituted for General Education Credits on a one for one basis. It is suggested that Gen Eds be taken as early as possible in the year because of the possibility of early work release near the end of the fourth semester.

Welding Technician Certificate

The curriculum for this certificate will be the ELW curriculum minus the Gen Eds. Students will not be offered the opportunity to take welding certifications. This program is intended for those students that are not ready for general education credits.

Associate of Applied Science Degree in Welding Technologies (Fall 06 pending)

The curriculum for this program is yet to be determined. Elements from the ELW will be combined with Minnesota Transfer Credits, taught on our academic campus in Virginia, to provide essentially a pre-engineering degree transferable to a 4 yr. institution towards a Bachelor Degree in Welding Engineering Technologies.
